During tense negotiations, John is shot and drifts into unconsciousness beneath the desert sky. When he comes to, a kind stranger has rescued and treated him. This lifesaving act, however, is no free lunch—John now owes Mrs McFarland fifteen dollars. With his mission derailed, he decides to put revenge on hold and familiarize himself with the land and shooting mechanics at McFarland’s ranch.

At the ranch, John hits the ground running, helping McFarland fend off wildlife intruders, mastering basic shooting drills, and mapping out the surrounding terrain under her guidance. The next day, he visits McFarland’s cabin to trigger another scene and even takes part in a local horse race. During their conversation, McFarland suggests enlisting the local marshal’s help to deal with Bill. Isolated and without allies, John sees wisdom in her plan and heads to the nearby marshal’s office to seek support. There, deputies eye him warily, but Sheriff Johnson, familiar with John’s plight, vouches for him. Unfortunately, Johnson is tied up with pressing matters and cannot fully commit his forces.

Thinking on his feet, John offers to help the marshal resolve a local conflict in exchange for official backing. In the following mission, Crickex Sign Up users must stealthily tail gang members, avoid detection, and neutralize threats from the shadows. Upon reaching the rendezvous point, a lookout spots John, forcing him into open combat. Players should use cover to inch closer to enemies and avoid being up the creek without a paddle when supplies run low. Once the gang is cleared, the story continues as John successfully resolves the crisis and secures the marshal’s promise of assistance, giving him a crucial ally on his path home.
